SIMPLY OUTSTANDING YOU NEED NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER
I used trip advisor when I was selcting a place to take my husband away
for his 30th birthday and I chose Hermitage Lodge based on their reviews
on this website and I was absolutely delighted when I arrived to see
that the reviews were 100% accurate. This place is AMAZING!!! The
service was top notch, the restuarant food was 5 star (delivered a 3
course meal to our room) and the premier suite OH MY GOD the spa on the
deck sipping wine and looking over the vineyard was to die for!! STAY IN
THE SUITE it is TOTALLY worth the extra money. Just got home and
already planning our next trip to Hermitage Lodge!!!

Service above and beyond
This is a lovely place to stay, everything here is wonderful, room
facility etc. The deal breaker for me and my partner was the staff, who
are genuinely interested in making your day. Their efforts to make your
experience the best it can be, really makes your trip that much more
amazing. Restaurant has great food and can get delivery if you want to
eat in. Room Tip: breakfast muesli is best ever!!!!

Restful, convenient, relaxing, quiet
After reading most reviews of most properties in the Hunter Valley and
calling several of the properties we decided on the Hermitage Lodge. As
on the phone, the hosts were gracious, informative and very
accommodating. They helped us select a quiet room and described the room
and properties explicitly. We were very pleasantly greeted and shown to
our room; we were very impressed as it was much better than we
anticipated. Continental breakfast was provided and a cooked breakfast
available if requested. The highest compliment I can pay is that our
room and location were so quiet you could hear the sun rise -- and we
did!! I cannot imagine any other lodging better than this in the Hunter.
As an added bonus, it was very convenient to wineries, the Hunter
Valley Gardens, and restaurants. Without hesitation, this is the place
to stay in the Hunter Valley!

Superb service, beautiful lodging and central location
We spent one night in a deluxe room at the Hermitage Lodge and were extremely pleased by the excellent service and pleasant room. The owners are very personable, attentive and friendly. Their homemade muesli -- included in the complimentary continental breakfast -- was heavenly. Also worth noting was the flawlessly working free wireless internet in and around our room -- pretty rare to come by free wireless that actually works! Definitely a wonderful place to stay in close proximity of many wineries in Pokolbin. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous with Central Location
Thankyou Mark & Noreen. We stayed in the spa bath room for 3 nights & had a great experience. Sipping local wines on the verandah at sunset over the vines, late steamy spa baths & the in room breakfast was a perfect fill as much as it was gourmet all while the room was soaked by the morning sun. Ate at the restaurant each night two of those nights were takeaway - just quietly - it was magic to sit in the lounge, by the fire over a local red waiting for take away pizza. Speaking of we found both menus - both A-la-carte / take away were great value along with a very extensive selection of local wines to boot!. Central location, friendly owners. Hermitage Lodge ticked all our boxes, would definitely recommend & stay again.

Perfect Getaway
Excellent Hotel location was great. Staff was friendly & helpful. Our room was just perfect for us, wrap around balcony overlooking the winery was just beautiful & we loved the high cathedral type ceiling in our room more like a miniature chalet than a hotel room just beautiful. We dined at the Italian Restaurant on Saturday Night & the food was just delicious. We had a great weekend.

Fabulous stay
Our only disappointment was that we could only stay for the two nights. The Hermitage lodge offers great rooms in a quiet location yet close to many of the great wineries. Sitting out on the verandah overlooking the vineyard was heaven. The breakfast is beautiful - great home made muesli yoghurt & muffins left in your fridge for you to enjoy on your verandah in the morning We ate at the restaurant one night (beautiful) and the next ordered lovely pizza & pasta to have on our verandah. One of us is gluten intolerant & the staff did not hesitate to provide tasty alternatives.
