“Five of us had dinner at Il Cacciatore last Friday night and was one of the best meals any of us have had in the Hunter Valley. From the garlic bread at the start (we even ordered a second one!) to the Affogato at the end, the meal could not be faulted.
Most of us had different meals and the forks were flying around the table to taste a bit of this and a bit of that. My pork belly was heaven and the Affogato just beautiful.
The service was top notch, orders memorised and delivered to the correct diner each time. This in itself does not happen a lot in my experience and when it has, there is usually a muck up of some description. Not at Il Cacciatore. Great service, beautiful food and very highly recommended.”

“The restaurant Il Cacciatore is just magic and far better than the customer basis of the Hunter Valley would seem to justify. My wife described the gnocchi ( spinach and ricotta) as the best she has encountered in her 64 years on this earth. The location is smack in the middle of where you would want to be. The quality of ingredients in the dishes is a huge compliment to the owner/managers who can maintain these food standards despite inevitable chef changes from time to time. Forget staying or eating elsewhere, this is the best by a runaway margin.”
