Our commitment to environmental sustainability is demonstrated by the responsible use of energy, water and materials, while maintaining the quality of service for our guests and offering a clean, healthy and safe environment for staff and guests.
Following are examples of how we strive to meet our responsibility of caring for the environment:
• All water is captured and or recycled. Our ‘state of the art’ septic system is designed to recycle all waste and gray water. This is then used for irrigating the vineyard, lawns and garden beds.
• Water Tanks are situated throughout the property to catch all rain water runoff.
The water is then pumped into the main water supply tank for consumption.
• All ink cartridges, toners, cardboard, paper, beer and wine bottles, as well as cooking oil is recycled. We re-use plastic containers wherever possible.
· Compose kitchen organic waste
• The hot water systems are all ‘on demand’ services.
• Dispensers for all shampoos, soaps and moisturizers are used rather than the individual bottles.
• Our chemical dispenser dispenses chemicals at the exact ratio to ensure the correct use of cleaning chemicals. This reduces the risk of over strength chemicals being used.
• The numerous plantings around the accommodation were chosen for their
drought resistance and hardiness.
We review our environmental policy regularly, and constantly look at methods to better manage our resources.
